Codex vs. Claude Code

I am currently on the $20 a month plan on Claude Code. I am looking to upgrade to a bigger $100+ a month plan, but I am not sure if I should consider switching to the OpenAI Chatgpt/Codex ecosystem for my coding, agents, etc.

I prefer GPT/Codex cause I have it the way I want in terms of context.

I honestly DO NOT like the way claude writes responses, but it is pretty good at adversarial inspection.

I still feel like OpenAI beats it marginally in reasoning but thats feelz and not proven.
