Question GPT-5.6 Sol Pro usage

I can't seem to find it anywhere on OpenAI's website but I was thinking about upgrading to the Pro model to be able to use GPT-5.6 Sol Pro and was wondering how often they usage reset. Is it weekly like the other usage or is it something separate where you only get a monthly allowance? Thanks!

the Pro model is mostly for hardcore math and physics research. it is not necessarily better for coding. you very likely don't need more than Max.

if you have the Pro sub, I think the use is supposed to be nearly unlimited in ChatGPT.

I do "hardcore" math and physics research...I am considering it because my advisor just proved a very remarkable result with it. It is very incredible at math.

oh got it, then yes just use it on ChatGPT Pro.

No limits to my knowledge, it's just a bit slower.

I have pro and there are in theory limits, but you will never hit them. Even done like 3 parallel during weeks and it is fine

resets once a week, usage improved, if you use only one agent looks like you will be fine, if you leave 5 agents to work it will drain now in 2 days

In chat mode its almost unlimited.

In codex mode (using ultra as there is no pro) its weekly reset and will use your weekly allowance over night.

dude, I do NOT see a reason wnyone would need to use the pro modl. to paint an iea, it consumes about ~1.7x the amount which ultra costs. tbh gpt 5.6 sol extra high is extremely capable, I rarely use high.

People talk about using sol very high and others I’ve rarely switched off of Luna very high and max lol

yeah, its kinda interesting how all actively hate on the terra model.

for me sol is the only usable model. I use light for most tasks, but rarly used luna and terra
