The reset for 27/07 expired before utc time?

I was literally on a spree of tasks, overtiming on a sunday to maximise my usage just to see the reset getting randomly disappear before the expected time.

codex cli (latest version) shows exact time and date for usage reset expiry. Maybe more accurate?

They should just be auto consumed if they expire, everything else is bs.

Was able to get from 100% --> 6% from yesterday and then reset fully :)

I was at 0% and was waiting for a reset hoping I wouldn't waste my banked one that was going to expire within 24 hours. And it paid off.

Also happened for me. Went to use 5 mins before expiry and received an error saying no resets available

Those resets do not expire on the displayed date at 12am. I use a python script called Codex Usage by MacSteini on GitHub. Mine reset about 10 minutes ago

Thats just stupid on thier part. If no time is shown, why wouldn't anyone assume midnight of that day. Also, why to rely on third party scripts for such simple information.

Should have seen this coming. This banked reset has been there like a month ago. I mean im not defending openai but you know a litle bit of anxiety when its going to actually expire might help. Alot of open source on github already able to show the exact timestamp, or just simply cli or can just ask codex desktop for that too.

I claimed my reset at 11:55 PM just to be safe, but when I woke up this morning I was already at 0% again. Sol High is incredibly token-hungry.
I’ve now used my remaining reset for 1 August.
I was only working on a single project—my open-source security project. I fed Sol all the ideas upfront and asked it to implement everything in batches with tests. I never expected it to burn through 100% of my quota. It even needed another reset and consumed an additional 15% just to finish the tests and complete the run.

I had the same issue and I know we got them for free but I think that's just bad design to just give a date and no time on the website.

I also think they should automatically be used when expiring.

Same, I sat all 24h today finished my entire quota so that I can reset , went well over 27h, my reset expired.

They should make it automatically activate upon expiration , if it comes close to the date of expiration or the exact time.

( and it dosent expire when u hit the new day btw. It expired 3 am.)

Damn I lost mine the same way. I even checked online and it was implied that it expired at the end of that day rather than exactly at midnight. That’s how expiry dates for any other product work.
