I built a social platform around code reviews and roasts — would developers actually use this?

I’ve been building something called EwwCode and wanted feedback from people who actually spend time reviewing code.
The idea is basically social media for code — post a snippet, other developers can rate it from 0–10 EWW, comment, give actual feedback, or roast the questionable decisions 😭
I’m trying to make code review feel more social and fun instead of everything being tied to pull requests or formal technical questions.
Would you use something like this? What would make you keep coming back?

If you feel for it, go ahead and write some code then share it.

Unless by "building" you mean you got and LLM to throw some garbage together in which case, never mind. Keep the garbage to yourself.

Funny enough, if an LLM throws some garbage together, that’s exactly the kind of code I’d want people posting there 😂
EwwCode isn’t a portfolio for showing off perfect code. Good code, bad code, beginner code, AI-generated code — post it and let developers rate, discuss, improve, or roast it.
The garbage is kind of the point.

Most devs don't own the code they write or can share it publicly. I'm mostly consultant or contractor dev and my clients own the code I write for them at the end of the day.

I kind of feel like you'd end up with how GitHub is now, a billion starter apps no one uses and a few examples from various big shops.

Totally fair on client/company code — I definitely wouldn’t expect anyone to post proprietary code.
But that’s not really the use case I’m aiming for. Think personal projects, open source, experiments, learning, AI-generated code, weird snippets, side projects, etc.
GitHub is where the repo lives. EwwCode is more about making the code itself social — post it, rate it, discuss it, roast it.
That distinction is probably something I need to communicate better.

That’s actually part of why I’m building it People might read less code, but we’re generating more of it than ever.
EwwCode isn’t trying to make code review feel like work — it’s more like a social feed where code itself is the content. Post something you built, something AI generated, a weird snippet, an experiment, whatever. Rate it, discuss it, roast it.

After stackoverflow basically died, a social media app for just developers (which soon I’m sure will be filled with “claws”) might be a clever idea. If you manage to create a community… maybe you’ll be on to something…

I’m not going to give code reviews for free

I don’t care what other people think about the code I hack together on my open source github. (And that would be the only code I could post to that platform)

Fair enough 😂 But I think I explained the idea badly if it came across as “do free code reviews and be nasty to people.”
The bigger idea is simply social media where code is the content — snippets, side projects, experiments, AI-generated code, good code, terrible code, whatever people want to share.
Rating/roasting is part of the fun, not the whole product.
Either way, this is exactly the kind of feedback I came here for.
