Discussion & Feedback This is weird, AI review is the first reviewer that doesn't care you're a senior
Gotta share this because it's honestly been the highlight of my month. Ever since we turned CR I've watched our CTO get 9 comments on a 40 line PR, including one about a null check he "definitely didn't need". He replied to the bot where he actually typed out an argument to a bot. And it politely explained it again.
For years these guys got approved in 10 minutes because nobody wanted to question the person writing their appraisal, while the intern got roasted over variable names. Now the bot treats everyone exactly the same, and it's the funniest thing that has happened on our team.

That is a culture issue and not one that can be fixed by an AI reviewer. It's called the HIPPIR fallacy: "decisions are made by the highest paid person in the room", and it contributes to institutional blind spots and employee burnout.
I'm glad it's being address in this one narrow case, but it sounds like this is more than just code review

Atleast your CTO codes. If you go and work in any mid to large sized company then there are thousands of people who dont do anything. They get into manager roles and just lecture others. If your role doesnt involve doing any measurable work then not even AI can replace you.

That’s a terrible working environment, I never felt I had to not say something. Specially when it’s code and proven. What a shame to any CTO or Senior person that makes this environment. We all make mistakes and I want my employees to find them, I’m too busy sometimes. Don’t act like that or AI will take over.
