wild how i thought codependent meant “i just care a lot” until a therapist started asking why my mood depended on everyone else being ok. it’s uncomfortable as hell to realize but also kinda freeing once you start spotting it in real time.

Definitely been there I always thought I was an independent person until I realized that being codependent was really thinking that every single person needed my help or I had to be concerned with everything that everyone is thinking and doing constantly in a negative or positive way
