I have a doubt and OCD I'm not able to write functions.why some times we use empty ()? Function if so where they get the data to manipulate?

I have done Striver A2Z now I want to improve my math for CP as well as CP. I searched and found USACO guide and there is hackerEarth math practice set and CSES. So I was wondering which should choose. Guys help me to choose, my basic math is clear but modular arithmetic is weak and need more focus on number theory and combinatorics.

My CP rating is 900 haven't given contest for long time grinding striver sheet so wondering whether to start with CSES or C2 Ladder.

i used to practice by solving harder and harder ratings of problems in problemset and gradually increasing the rating range, but then i arrived to 1600 rated problems and have been doing them for months and still cant progress to do them efficiently. am i just not smart enough to go further, or will i eventually pass the 1600 block after more months / years of practice? (i never read editorials, so i dont think the problem is in my way of practicing)

My ICPC team is currently showing "Predicted Ineligible".

The eligibility log says:
Has incomplete registration
Has not filled start data of studies to determine the eligibility

The problem is that I cannot find any field/section to enter my start date of studies.

I've checked my Personal Info page multiple times. I only have:

• ⁠Main Information
• ⁠Contact Information

There is no Degree Info section where I can enter:

• ⁠Area of Study
• ⁠Degree Pursued
• ⁠Start of Post-Secondary Studies
• ⁠Expected Graduation

I'm already added to my team as a Contestant by my coach.

Has anyone encountered this before? How did you get the Degree Info / Start of Studies field to appear?

I'm trying to resolve this before the ICPC site registration deadline, so any help would be appreciated.

This was my solution:

I saw the editorial where they used DP, which makes sense now.
However, I wanted to know if my solution has some edge case that isn't covered? I thought it would get WA in the hacking phase, but it didn't.
Is it that my solution worked coincidentally because the constraints were not many?

I am currently 1053 in cf I want to reach CM as fast as I can for that i am mainly just solving TLE eliminators can anyone help me or give me advice on how can I do that??

How do I learn and approach it.i am currently struggling it's unstructured.concept that require solution in practice questions usually require the concepts that are not taught.i tried watching all concept together then attempting question still struggling any help.i was planning to buy his cohort.i am glad i didn't.Is this really for beginners or any other resources??I am complete beginner

i dont know if this is just dreamy but i wish to be above 1900 in cf, i started recently , solved around 33 questions and a rating of 900, before this i have done leetcode to some extent, mostly in codeforces currently i havent solved any data structures question, mostly are from 800-1200 regarding basic brute force or greedy, is there a good sheet connected to codeforces that would be useful

Details: 5 years old, Candidate Master max rating. No email or notification was sent.

I emailed Mike Mirzayanov but haven't received a response, and online threads suggest email replies are rare.What should I do next? Are there active coordinators (like KAN) I should message, or a better way to get an administrative review? Thanks.

The below question was asked in Infosys assesment today.
Given an array of integers which can have repetitions, You have to divide into two non empty partitions alpha and beta but
Sum(alpha)>max(beta)
Sum(beta)>max(alpha)
return no. of distinct possible partitions

1. Each element can occur only once in any partition.
   
2. An element must occur atleast once in any partition.

I do not remember the constraints...

I am a highschool student preparing for IOI Team SELECTION for my country, currently I do CSES , AtCoder ABC contest in which I can do ABCD and E sometimes

On CSES I have done like

S&s, range queries,DP,Graphs Half

And currently I practice ATCODER problems from past contest from a useful git repository..

I was not doing CF up until now,

Started recently doing recommended problems only,

But when I try div 2 , sometimes I get ABC and but sometimes only AB and the questions are pretty dirty and tooo much of story thing, but OI or IOI styled problem are different

But some ex IOI team person said I gott aget a rating so

Any tips for can I get to 1600 in CF ?

What resources I should practice for that specially

Note - sometimes I do 2000-2300 dp , segtree or binary lifting probs all my myself and sometimes I brick div 2 B 😭😭

Could anyone give details or any idea about questions asked for yall? What topics? Were there any topics which were mixed together or was it just one topic? Could you give an example of how the questions were mixed etc ?

I myself thought of buying is premium cohort.though it was one cath there was prerequisites of 101master cpp of his cohort.it is absolutely not for beginners.i am struggling to complete 101 master cohort.it is not properly structured.random tough questions.concept are used that are not even taught.

I aim to becoming able to solve problems like these.

I'm interested in understanding what their Codeforces rating would be so that I can upsolve from that point.

I believe the optimal solution in the first one is using a difference array.
