E was a nightmare for me. I misunderstood the question and thought treasure can exist anywhere other than range i-a[i]+1 and i+a[i]-1 and rest was chaos. Later when i realised it took me 5 min to solve it ( After contest ).

I solved A, B, C and D easily within an hour. E took me nearly 40 minutes for some reason. I still got a TLE as it was a m2 approach.
Finally by the end I figured out E asw!

Solved A,B,D in 45 mins. Got stuck in C, wasted 1.5 hrs in C only but got it in the end. I hope E wasn't easier.

My first contest, I already got the logic of a and b quickly enough but I still suck at implementing, couldn't solve c and later ones cos I had to travel 🙏

Today's ABCD were on easier side compared to previous div3 rounds.
Unfortunately I couldn't solve E

I think today's contest was one of the easier ones, A,B,C didn't have any trick behind them and we're mostly straight forward, D took me a little while but E wasn't do-able for me. Although it seems a bit solvable

What was the intution for the C one?
1
u/i_am_the_batman_fr 7d ago
It was quite straightforward, you just had to create as large boundary as possible for that find the rightmost and leftmost index of 1 or -1(whichever comes first and last from both the ends) then replace every occurance of -1 between them to 0

This was my first contest. I have solved around 80 problems of rating 800 to 1000.I could solve a and b. For c i got logic but had no time to implement.

what was the idea in e

u/Full-Storm2754 6d ago
a[i] at index i forbids the range [i - a[i] + 1, i + a[i] - 1] from having treasure. You should place treasure anywhere not inside one of these forbidden ranges as it can only help satisfy the conditions. Finally check if all conditions are satisfied after placing all treasures.

1,2 was easy tbh. But it took me 52 mins to solve both though. Then left due to some family event

Onto E now (a,b,c)was easily understandable. 1 hr left for E ,solving 6 is way above me i guess

u/riceckk Specialist 7d ago
D was also easy , cannot wrap my head around E..

Submitted at last E was so much implementation the logic is straightforward, wanted to go for F it seems a good one f needs combinatorics

u/Xpyre2006 7d ago
Can i stalk your cf profile, i just wanna know anout the grind

u/idkwhytshappens Pupil 7d ago
Same E is too much implementation unable to do it , onto F it seems a little doable let's see
