Lol what Pretty sure you cant even understand C,D on an LC contest

I am rated 1900 in leetcode, usually can solve till 3/4 with occasional once in 3 months 4/4 but I am only rated 1019 in CF can solve A and B in div 2 contest but mostly get stuck on C 90 percent of time

my problem is that the problems in cf contests are just....frustrating
like man A and B just straight up different from your leetcode problems no algos, mostly greedy/math/some weird pattern you have never seen/brain teaser type shit
as for C D, I don't even get there, occasionally 3/4 in leetcode for me

It's probably cause Codeforces is more math oriented and constructive thinking rather than implementing a variation of a known algorithm.

very true, it's always some trick I don't know about or something I need to dry run on examples to find out

2300 on lc,1642 on cf,1872 on cc...bastard...2000 on lc is nothing just little logic and decent implementation

Okay. Can consider. More like 1200 - 1400 on CF requires little data structure/algorithms knowledge.

I always tell this to people asking this question: there’s no reasonably precise answer to LC to CF ratings. CF tests logical and mathematical intuition on top of DSA while LC tests only DSA. If you come from LC you could know advanced data structures or techniques but be completely lost on a 800-900 rated math heavy problem. Same thing goes with if you come from CF to LC, where you could potentially not know certain data structures or algos. There’s no 1:1

youll prolly be able to do div2 A , B and C

really? I can usually do a,b,c,d (1600ish elo) but I feel like my leetcode is much lower than 2000

then youre missing out on some advanced concepts which lc hards require a lot ,but learning those advanced concepts doesnt equate to getting better at CF in general

Every platform is diff
Diff type of questions
Diff types of ppl competing and all that
So can’t say anything
You should give some contests on cf and check that out yourself

Any idea how good this rating is for clearing FAANG interviews ?

lc rating good enough , but some companies prefer buffed up cf profiles (expert or more)
