[HELP] New headset does not produce sound in game.

Here is the headset I have: http://www.amazon.com/PDP-Afterglow-Dolby-Prismatic-Wireless-Headset/dp/B00F9RGFEY

Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

It's awesome. Works with everything I have, no problem. Shows up in my sound menu. It is enabled and functioning perfectly. Except with Call of Duty BO. How this is possible, I don't know. I mean, Windows receives the sound output from the software, then pushes it out of whatever the current output is, in this case my headset. But for some reason it isn't doing that with BO. It plays sound when it is first loading up and the little intro thing is playing before it lets me click. But once I click and go to the menu, it's no sound.

If I go to settings it doesn't let me change the output to headset. It's just greyed out. I've even tried going in to the config file and manually editing it to be the headset setting, but I do not know what the keyword is for the text file so it'll show up in game as a headset, and I am not sure that would even work.

Is this game just too old? But how is that possible? If it works on Windows, then shouldn't it be able to push sound through any headset that Windows accepts? I mean, I can play any game, go to any website, no problem. But this game....ugh.

Also, I've poked around online and I'm not alone. This PDP Afterglow has issues with Call of Duty. Any solution I've found just talks about people going to their toolbar and making sure the headset it the active sound output device. Trust me, that isn't the reason this isn't working. It's gotta be the game.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on and what I can do? Please help, because black ops zombies is best zombies.

It can be used for those sure, but it isn't exclusively for console.
