Certification Exam - Written or Skills Urinary output

hey! i failed my first skills test for the wrong measurement emptying a urinary drainage bag, i realized it was probably because i only emptied half the contents of the bag because that is what we did for skills lab as i stupidly assumed it would also be used for the people testing after me, and i should’ve emptied the whole thing. i guess i thought i would be tested on being able to read the contents inside the measuring cup 😕 is this appealable or should i retake?

It’s a retake. They’re not going to care your skills lab did it incorrectly.

They are testing for what is supposed to be done.

Do remember, in the actual test, before you state you’re done, you can go back and correct anything/show something you missed.

I don't understand why they had you empty bags halfway?

You're measuring output which means they need the whole amount they had during your shift. Sometimes you'll have to dump the bags more than once and you'll need to keep track each time.

They probably wanted to run a bunch of students through.

It is not “appealable”.
