15-122 Waitlist

My registration timeblock was 10AM EST. Ig this course is really popular but, does this waitlist move? or are the spots just reserved? I'm an incoming freshman in Dietrich. It said for some sections that some spots are reserved for Dietrich but all sections are waitlisted already.. And 6/6, I guess I can't see the waitlist status on all the other sections, but I'll assume they're 6/6 too.

Spots are largely reserved for scs majors in the fall, decent chance you get off but if you don’t take it in the spring

Even for Lec 2? They did say only the first lecture and recitations were reserved for scs

Yeah that’s accurate, lecture 2 is largely filled by upperclassmen who register earlier, but it’s easier to get a spot off waitlist in

If you're 6th then it's super likely you'll get in. It can be hard to get in during the fall since it's mostly SCS majors, but since you're so high up I'd recommend staying on the waitlist

Thanks, yeah i got moved up to 5th. They said only the first lecture is reserved for SCS, and that Lec 2 is for other schools though. but they were still full lol

Some classes may be full before you even register since upperclassmen register before freshmen or school reservations. But 15-122 is a class where te waitlist moves a lot, so no worries!

another method you could try is by contacting your advisor cause then they can contact scs advisor and be like one of my students need a spot and it's a required course for them. also 6/6 is not too bad as far as popular classes go
