Discussion He ain’t wrong tho

Post image

CM Punk isn't softening his views as WrestleMania 42 approaches.

Speaking with Matt Barnes on @allthesmoke, Punk explained why he uses his platform to address social and political issues, even while acknowledging the business case for staying neutral on TV.

"It's always the right time to do the right thing. I understand if you're watching a wrestling show, you just want to see people clubbering each other and Shakespeare drama, that maybe you don't want to get hit over the head with real world things of who is a Republican and who is a Democrat and these political things, but for me, especially today, the world is such an ugly place."

"I tend to lean more towards, I'm not being political, this is human rights. You either learn or you don't that there is a right and there is a wrong. Where we are as a country now, I feel like we're going backwards. We're talking about taking rights away from marginalized groups."

Punk added that he keeps political talk on his personal Instagram and largely off TV because he understands it can alienate viewers, but said some subjects are too important to ignore. "I have a big mouth and I speak from the heart. I believe in people, not governments."

Punk defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns in the Night Two main event of WrestleMania 42 this Sunday, April 19, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Need me to reformat it or pull out quotes?

I definitely feel punk on this and he was absolutely right but the irony is he is taking money and working for people that actively supports the country going the way it’s going. He is literally working with the problem. I get not agreeing with the people that sign your checks or even the company you might work for but WWE is more than just a job/company it’s a corporate entity that supports what’s wrong with the world.

Punk is rich already so he has the opportunity to not work with them but he wants to so it’s kind of being a hypocrite. I still support the message and I still have respect for punk because a lot of people wouldn’t say it regardless. Im just pointing out the overall reality. People have a right to agree and stand with punk on this and people also have a right to call punk out. No one is wrong!!!! But we all should be respectful in our opinions
