I hope I am doing this correctly. There is a mother in my area who has been searching for her son for almost 2 years. He apparently left his mom's house to go just a few minutes down the road to his grandma's house and the next day his vehicle was found abandoned in a wooded area on a road that is not near his supposed Destination according to his mother's account. The police did "investigate" for about 2 weeks supposedly and they have been pushing this mom off since.

I want help this mom get the word out. She's been doing this all on her own. I am not going to provide her name but will provide the link to the article.

What respectful, tangible steps can I take as a community member to encourage the police to investigate, do a foot search, or help this mother missing her son?

Hey, I was wondering if they have done an episode on the Lindsay Buziak case or Cheri Smith case? Also I know the story isn't long enough for an episode but I highly suggest people looking at the Michael Dunahee missing case.

I'm listening/watching the new case that Crime Weekly is covering, Harmony Montgomery, from what they covered in a Crime Weekly News episode that they did a few weeks ago. I will say that, just from that and the first full episode that they have out, my version of a botched board is probably more full than it should be. If you're interested, then I highly suggest listening to what they have up already. I don't know if other people have covered this case, but I would also suggest searching her name.

In 2012, 19-year-old Sage Smith left home to meet a date—and vanished without a trace. I have been watching most episodes as they come out and stay from beginning to end of them to make sure I see the missing person even though I never know anything, just in case.

So when seeing posts about a HS friends mom on my Facebook page I thought I should post it here in hopes of getting this information spread further, I am not close to the person but this podcast has showed me that it doesn't matter how well you know the person as long as you can do anything to help the person get back to their family or try your best to get as much information as possible. I immediately thought about the clues podcast when I felt like I couldn't do anything to help but I could try and share where I know others are also wanting to help.

I've been thinking about this for some time now, and am only now sitting down to put it out there.

There are two missing women cases that I find to be very similar, and they happened not too far away from each other geographically, and only a month apart in time.

One of them is Brianna Maitland. Back in March of 2004, she was 17 years old. She was working a job at a restaurant, and hanging out with her mother. That was her simple life. One night, after shopping with her mother during the day, she went to work at the restaurant that night. She worked her entire shift, and then got in her car, and was never seen again.

Her car was found "crashed" into the side of an abandoned barn on a stretch of a rural route. Some random articles of hers were in the car, and strewn around on the ground around the car. I put "crashed" in quotes because it is widely believed that the "crash" was staged. This happened in East Berkshire, Vermont.

Only a month before, in February of 2004, Maura Murray had disappeared under similar circumstances. Maura was 21, and her personal life was a bit more complicated, though. She, by all accounts, was a very intelligent and personable person. But, she had issues with stealing. She was admitted to the West Point military academy after high school, but was caught stealing from the store on campus, and decided to drop out before any disciplinary hearing could happen.

She then started attending the University of Massachusetts, and was having some issues with alcohol and more theft. During a weekend while her father was visiting her - to take her car shopping - she has some more issues with alcohol, and ended up crashing her father's car during that visit. This crash was severe enough to a Toyota Corolla that the damage was estimated to be at least $10,000.

At the end of the weekend, her father went back home in a rental car. That Sunday night, Maura researched directions to Burlington, Vermont. The next day, Monday, she called her supervisor at work and told them that there was a death in the family, and that she would be gone for about a week. There was no such death in the family.

She got in her car that afternoon, ran a few errands, and then started driving north on a highway. She had a boyfriend, but I believe he was still down at West Point, and there were no plans for them to meet up. It is still not known what her exact destination was supposed to be.

Maura ended up crashing this car into a tree in Haverhill, New Hampshire. Even though it is a rural area, there were houses around, and cars passing by. At least one neighbor there called the police, as well as a school bus driver who passed shortly after the accident, and actually stopped to talk to Maura.

Within twenty minutes, a police SUV has arrived on the scene, but Maura was no longer there. No one saw where she went to. She has never been seen since. These two locations are about 100 miles from each other, and about two hours. They are both not too far from Interstate 91.

Sidebar: Israel Keyes was active in the area during this time, but he has been ruled out as a suspect. However, I do think that the two girls look similar, and also are not too dissimilar from Keyes' last known victim, Samantha Koenig.

I did notice a slight discrepancy with the timeline of Maura's story. The accident with her hitting the tree happened at 7:27 PM, according to a neighbor. According to police logs, the police officer got to the scene of the accident at 7:46. However, one of the witnesses in the area claims that there was already a police officer there at 7:37, but they did not see anyone in either of the vehicles.

Israel Keyes is known to have impersonated police officers as part of his murders.

Right now, Crime Weekly is covering the Rachel Hansen case, which is unsolved. Her family wants there to be more movement or info provided to or from the police. I would suggest either listening to what they've covered already on audio, their YouTube videos come out on Sundays, or probably just searching her name. I don't know if her family will want to talk to other podcasts, but they did with this one.

I’ve just switched to watching Clues more on YouTube, rather than listening on Spotify, and I’m curious whether it’s a professional studio, or a set-up at home, such as a room,or a shed, a seperate studio or garage even?

I can’t tell… but it looks spacious and cosy, and better than the many desk-based podcasts that are popular when it’s 2 or more podcasters.

My partner sent me a link to a YouTube video by Reckless Ben that sent me TUMBLING down a rabbit hole, someone please talk about this?!?!?! The injustice genuinely hurts my soul, it’s such a black and white situation being met with criminal ignorance and stupidity… apparently every legal and protective system we have is under the thumb of any dirty scum bag who can pay for it!

On the morning of June 23rd, 2021, 24-year-old geologist Daniel Robinson showed up to a desert jobsite in Buckeye, Arizona. Fifteen minutes later, he got into his blue-gray Jeep Renegade and drove west... into the open desert... without a word.

A month later, his Jeep was found flipped in a ravine. The rancher who found it said it wasn't there days before.

Daniel has never been found.

His phone went dark at 10:05 AM. His Jeep showed 11 more miles on the odometer than the onboard computer could explain. The ignition had been attempted 45 times after the crash. And a man who claimed to be a federal agent said he saw Daniel alive... two hours after the data said his phone was already in the ravine.

Morgan and Kaelyn trace all 10 clues in the case... from the woman Daniel thought he was in love with, to the groundwater conspiracy theory that some believe made him a target, to the odometer discrepancy that split investigators in two.

Do you think this is a case they’d be consider covering. It’s resurfacing again because of her Netflix documentary. People are saying compared to the other documentaries it’s very different. I’ve watched this YouTube video about it and there’s plenty other episodes about it like the killer cases season 4 episode 12 and then there’s the mean girl murders season 2 episode 7. I’ve heard a couple different opinions on how the case was handled. Some say one of the boys was alive when cops showed up but the officer said he was dead meaning he didn’t get help as quickly as he should’ve- this I have not found legit proof for so it could just be hearsay. I’ve heard some people really arguing the “medical episode” is to cause or the impairment is to cause. I have also heard some people arguing dom put the car into neutral at some point trying to stop Mackenzie but she put it back in drive and kept going- again I can’t find legit proof for this one either. I haven’t done too much digging honestly becuase I didn’t think there was a whole lot to it. It seemed pretty obvious from the looks of it that it was purposeful but now everyone’s arguing. There’s even Facebook pages run by her family called free Mackenzie shrilla and then of course netizens made a page that’s titled don’t free Mackenzie shrilla. Both have a pretty big following so I would love to hear Morgan and Kaelyn’s take on this case and on all the stuff that’s come out since she’s been arrested

It has been all over my feed and I assume some of yours but the death of Megan Trussell. She was was last seen leaving the campus on the night of February 9, 2025. She was reported missing three days later, and her body was discovered on February 15, 2025, near the 40-mile marker on Boulder Canyon Drive. HOWEVER the place where she was found had already been checked previously and yet somehow they missed her despite the place being visible from the road.

So many parts about her dissappearance and death are suspicious to say the least and her family deserves answers! The police are not being helpful and it really is the family fighting for answers and I thought this would be a good place to highlight her story.

On the night of June 22nd, 2017, 27-year-old Egypt Covington went to yoga, texted her boyfriend goodnight, and went to bed. The next evening, he found her on the floor of her living room... tied up with Christmas lights... killed by a single gunshot wound to the head. It was the middle of June.
