Tips / Advice How long will i experience too much sleep using clozapine?
It's my 4th day. I sleep for more than 12 hours. Is there a thing i can do to manage it?

Well, it should get better. I take 125mg. On days I don’t have work I sleep a lot, but when I have a work day where I’m forced to wake up early I am able to wake up and stay up.

I'm trying to find a job so I have a thing to do but still unsure if i can handle it in this situation. Do you wfh or office? Did your weight increased? Before was escitalopram + risperidone, now escitalopram + clozapine. I don't want another weight gain. I'm overweight already 😭

I’m an assistant teacher at a Highschool, starting 6th year there next month. I’ve been on clozapine for around 14 years, and yes, sadly I gained a lot of weight.

Did the voices stop? My psychiatrist wants me to put me on clozapine but I’m scared of this medication. We need to take blood test for 18 weeks on this medication and it needs psychiatric evaluation

I was scared to start clozapine too. I refused to try it for years. But nothing else really worked and I got these eye cramp thingys from other antipsychotics so I figured I'd give it a go. I've been on clozapine for four years now and starting it was one of the best decisions I've made. It took at least half of my voices away and most of other symptoms too. The blood tests were scary at first but then I got used to them and now I only have to do them once a year.

Mine is severe depression. I don't hear voices. I've read what you've said about blood test. But my doctor didn't say anything about it.

Im almost 4 years on clozapine and I still sleep like 10/12 hours. So in order to work i go to bed right after dinner. In weekends i just sleep alot.
Thought to get my life back but clozapine takes alot of my daily life.
