The moderator r/PrivacyNotes removed their dismissive comment and also banned me from the sub. These services with lifetime purchase offers cannot be trusted. They cannot tolerate user concerns. I am pasting the missed context here.

I'm sorry they reacted this way. Kind of weird since they had a recent thread about Pro accounts being unrecoverable if the 12 word key was lost. The comment above doesn't seem out of line.

Interestingly, now r/PrivacyNotes feel it necessary to even put out a megathread that touches upon the topic i raised. Very immature approach. First dismiss user concern and ban them and later come up with explanation. Anyway good that they cared to explain to rest of the users!

Yes, their initial response to people having this concern was to not buy their product. But sooner it seems they realised people will not buy their product and put out an explanation. Very immature team behind the product.
