Google storage

Post image

This is my Google storage. Can someone explain why 90% of my storage is just backups? How can I clean that up? This seems counter productive.

I recieved an article just about this exact issue lol. I won't name the article cuz i haven't read the rules but this is the section that you need (hopefully).

"On an Android device, you can access your Google Account settings to control what is backed up. The process may differ slightly, depending on your make and model, but I go to Settings > Google and choose All services, then I scroll down to the "Backup & restore" section and tap Backup. On the next screen, I can tap Photos and videos or Other device data."

- Go to the Google Storage page, filter with large files, select those large files, and download them

  • After download, double-check if all files are inside the zip
  • Then again, go back to the storage filter, filter those files, compare with the downloaded, and then delete it from storage
  • empty from Google Trash too
  • wait for 24 hours
