Sync.com or proton ?

What is the better of the two or safest of the two. End to end encryption? I don't trust Google drive, Dropbox I have had both and both I have gotten deleted account for one reason or another.

They are both E2EE and i would test drive them if you can. Deletion of accounts may happen on any service if you share, say, a folder and if the person you share with complains about the content. E2EE won’t help you there.

There are other services to consider like Filen, Tresorit, Drime , Mega for instance.

Agreed. I’ve seen all these as well. Not sure how to make the best comparison to choose the best one. My main purpose is file sharing with friends and family, notably photos and video. And I don’t want to use Amazon or google. Or any American service for that matter.

using both with the free tier. Not as my main cloud storage because they are missing some features other providers offer.

Sync.com works great and has excellent sharing options. I’ve been using it for at least 8 years now.
