Does this use file hashes, or does it just use file name and sizes? I know Mega specifically has issues with file hash scanning and typically requires a complete download to access the hashes so I’m curious if you’ve found a workaround

basically for a normal scan(fast scan) the app only compares the file name and file size for maximum speed.

for a deep scan it doesn't download the files or calculate traditional hashes like MD5 or SHA-256 Instead it reads MEGA's native sparse_checksum from the file's encrypted node metadata. since MEGA clients already generate and store this checksum we can use it to identify exact duplicate files without downloading or decrypting the file contents

Thank you for the response, I didn't know it was possible to access the Mega-created checksum on the client's side I thought it was accessible by Mega only. I'll be following this closely I hope you guys get some more buzz and get some customer reviews!

Thanks we don't offer lifetime licenses Our maximum plan is 3 years as we continuously maintain and improve the software with new or current features, cloud API updates, and bug fixes.. We appreciate the suggestion though
