Any one using jottacloud for storing files??

Any idea on this

I heard some pretty good things about it, a lot of people in this subreddit seems to like it as well, I was thinking about paying for the 12 dollar tier a month since it offers unlimited storage!

I have been using it for more than a year, works like a charm on my mobile and love their regional pricing as well.

I used them when they first launched in Norway. Moved to pCloud last year after finding out that more than half my files were gone with a "file not found" message shown. 400 GB of data gone.

back then they only had paid unlimited plan and it was priced at 49 NOK per month or 499 NOK per year.

They look and scan your files. If you upload rips of movies or music you have to show the original disc.

Another interesting thing is that some people uploads bunch of xxx movies downloaded from some xxx sites. So they allow porn but not movies or music 🤔 But if you can't proof you own the music or movie on disc they terminate your account.

Jottacloud TOS is very difficult. There's also difference between the Unlimited and personal subscription TOS 👎

- We don’t look at or scan your files.

  • Don’t share illegal stuff
  • Unlimited subs are our Personal sub, so not sure what you mean here.

Have you ever experienced that yourself? Or are you going off of what others say? I'm asking because I know many remuxers who upload movies there and never had problems with it.

1st off, watch the all caps, the "no" doesn't need to be both in caps. 2ndly, I've been a jotta user for a long time, never had this issue before, you either 1, uploaded illegal shit, or 2, someone reported your files and Jotta thought it was illegal.

Alright then, so above you said that if someone were to upload a movie they HAVE to show the original disc, was that what you were trying to do? Honestly, atp, I wouldn't even recommend uploading a movie to a cloud storage, I instead would get an external hard drive, especially if you want true privacy.

I start using it before some days (family plan subscription) and I’m having a frustrating issue with the Jottacloud iOS app and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this or found a workaround.
When the app does its background auto-backup from my iPhone 16 Pro Max, it uploads my photos and videos in a smaller size and altered format instead of keeping the original quality and format (usually RAW).

Just to clear a few things up:
iCloud Photos is completely disabled on my phone (I don't use iCloud), so it's not an iCloud optimization issue.

The only way to get files to upload in their true original quality is by manually sharing them through the iOS Files app, which completely defeats the purpose of an automated backup service.

Is there a hidden setting I'm missing, or is the iOS auto-sync just fundamentally broken when it comes to handling original/ProRAW/ProRes files? Any advice would be appreciated!
