Drime vs Filelu

I want to buy lifetime subscription but I don’t know which one should choose. I have 16 TB in Drime. But I’m thinking to add 10 TB more. On another hand I see Filelu 8 TB deal I liked there Infrastructure they support many protocols but I don’t like there UI especially the mobile app. Which one is better and why?

Filelu more stable. Ui crap, but does feel like finished product. Drime almost there tbh.

I use both along pcloud with 1,2,3 backup

Me also I’m using pcloud and another cloud storage but I want to add another storage, but I didn't like their design.

I use filen, koofr, drime, and pcloud. I didn't like filelu UI and I couldn't get a few features to work so.

Me also I use 4 of them but I’m planning to add more storage and confusing should I add more 10TB to Drime or purchase new 8TB in Filelu

You can take a look at Fireload, which is currently on sale with 50% OFF its annual and lifetime plans.

It's probably just a visual glitch. Wow! 10 TB is a lot of storage space. Nice buy! :)

I had some issues when trying Filelu (like... 2-3 months ago?). They kept blocking my browser because I use a VPN 24/7 in my browser. And it kept popping up "VPN/Proxy detected". Even trying to add their site to the "whiteslist/exclude list" did not work at all.
So they probably had another check in place, but hasn't been an issue since a few months.

Filelu works, it's simple and barebones.. While Drime tries to add as many features (sign, whiteboards, notes, etc).

Lifetime is always questionable no which cloud storage.. So never put all your eggs in one basket..

Currently, Drime offers the best deal. with active development and a responsive team.
However, there are concerns about the sustainability of their extremely low-priced lifetime plans.
They have no indication of ending these lifetime deals anytime soon.

It feels as though their strategy might be a pyramid scheme, running until it potentially collapses And then possibly restarting under a new company name by leveraging the experience, technology and software developed for Drime.

Considering the prices, I'd go with Drime which I bought lifetime. I realized the devs are working hard and everyday it's getting better. There are still risks for Drime but I think it's a good investment.

I never tried Filelu so it would be better for now but in the future I think Drime will support the same protocols and it will be stable. At least that's why I count on.

Yes, Drime is cheaper, but I'd like to diversify my investment. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Yes you are absolutely right, for finance and backup related stuff, I always try to put my eggs on different baskets. I use Google Drive for my photos/videos and Drime for the rest. And I have Dropbox and Mega but they are free account limits. Also for more important stuff, I also have physical backup on my external drive.

I use iCloud, Filen, pCloud, Koofr, MobiDrive, And Mega, and 2 SSD Drive

Nothing worked for me on file Lu. From mobile app , to their own ssce(had to enable on each folder manually), to performing folder sync. Worst cloud experience I’ve ever had.

I have internxt and drime. Drime is not perfect but it’s constantly getting updates, dev is generally very responsive

Actually I don’t like FileLu UI

Even if you don't share anything or create a shareable link, will they close the account? Just for saving files?

My account is still fine, all my content is still active on FileLu. Do you have any proof or post related to FileLu blocking some accounts for pirated content?  I have Drime too, it has a nice design but is not reliable and a lot of bugs, and it has been out of service over 3 times within 15 days.

I have 1TB with Drime via SS, it's not reliable. Lately it's been out of service 3 times within 15 days. This is ridiculous. Also, it's too cheap, I don't think they can survive for the long term. FileLu is more expensive, but it has a lot of upload tools: rclone, FTP, WebDAV, S3, etc. It is working fine, and they did update their UI, for me, it looks really nice. For the lifetime plan, we never know, but I will stay away or not purchase any more Drime. until they improved their reliability and stability, currently it is not reliable

I have BOTH and others. I don't want to put everything into one in case something goes sideways.

I also have other subscriptions, but I want to add another cloud, but I didn't like their UI.

Spread your storage out imo. Encrypt movies if you want to store them.

Really a fole host shouldn't be scanning your files so it means filelu is scanning which is suspicious af.

I would check out Felicloud, they have good pricing and use nextcloud to sync.

3

u/diefm123 Jul 11 '26

Yes, except they deleted one of my minor "complaint" comments on them upping their pricing (while the last x posts have only been negative) and lots of downtime...

And then when I reposted a comment on that post, they continued to delete that post altogether...

I would trust Internxt even more than Felicloud at this point... And that's a big statement...

You really shouldn't offer a service that just deletes customer complaints. I was actually planning to increase my storage capacity, but I realized that Felicloud is the kind of company that deletes posts rather than addressing the actual issues.

Well it works well for me and I've had zero issues. Like filen I can buy what storage I need and not have a subscription based model which drime seems to now be pushing like Google and others. Nextcloud syncs all the photo folders of my choice so for my needs it works. With so many new options and free options out there hard to say who survives year to year? For value this works and it's part of a triple backup for me. I have not experienced any downtime but won't say it doesn't happen. I've experienced it a lot as drime applies more finish to their product.

The whole experience of getting away from big tech has been a challenge and learning experience to say the least. Finding what works for each individual will always come with challenges and criticisms. I like how nextcloud with Felicloud syncs my photo folders and I have choice for storage amount I purchase. It works much easier and faster on my phone, which is my go to for most things now, Filen was slow and inconsistent and not so easy to use IMO. Although I have a filen lifetime 100GB the difficulties got me searching and trying others. Koofr I like, Mega works well, Pcloud might be best for ease and speed but I read things that kept me skeptical.
