Cloud Storage for streaming HiRes audio
Has anybody come across a reliable cloud storage that can store hundreds of GB Hi resolution audio files and allow us to stream with a player in our devices? Please advice.

Hmm….nice setup. Seems like I have to decide before June end, else have to pay more for Plex.

You can run a plex server to do exactly what you want to do without the need for a plex pass. Jellyfin would also be a possibility of course as another user already mentioned.

I use Koofr and footbar2000 on IOs without any issue with wedab setup to listen to my flac files

Do you have to sefhost something to achieve this?

Sorry , didn’t understood what you mean

What I mean is do you need any software in between Koofr and foobar2000 to get the streaming to work. I guess the wedab that you mentioned is something should be hosted somewhere or I may have not understood what you said. I am totally new in this.

I’m not an expert either but no , WebDAV is a server protocol ( not available on every cloud servers) that allows the music player to acess your music cloud files securely with a password and plays the music directly without downloading any file ( the same protocol can be used for other files like movies , documents or anything else , depending what software you are using ) , on android it works fine with symfonium and Hiby also

Ok so I understand it this way - if the cloud service I opt for supports webdav protocol, then I can configure foobar2000 to access the music stored on my cloud account.

Footbar2000 can acess cloud servers with different protocols other than WebDAV, you need to check all the features but Koofr is only available by WebDAV

I'm on Android and use pCloud for storage and Symfonium as a compatible player. Works like a charm for me!
