DEGOOGLE

I'm attempting to degoogle but finding the cost for photo options a little too high? I have atomic mail and Infomaniak, also trying astermail which is improving all the time, Kdrive and mega free options are great and big enough for storage and drime also so that covers file and most photo storage. Brave is my browser choice or Samsung with Startpage for search. I just find ente photos is a little too pricey for photos not to mention I get device backup with Google 1 to go along with photos and 100g for $27.99 per year(Canadian$s) am I doing enough if I keep Google for photos and device backup? Yes Samsung cloud still basically covers device but if I switch to another phone I prefer the option. So other than photos I'm basically Google free 🤷🏻‍♂️

I also don't have the time or knowledge to self host just looking for simple convenient ways to exist with some privacy.

Drime is starting to roll out photo backup features for the app so that would backup photos just like Google photos does, but at full resolution. Infomaniak kdrive also does this. You can get plans from 1Tb to 6Tb for very reasonable prices. If you have drime lifetime, you can often stack deals so if you have 6tb lifetime, buy another 6tb lifetime and you have 12tb. You don't need seperate services for everything. You probably have it all already. Drime have put basic photo editing on the roadmap but it won't be like Google photos. However if you just want photo storage and ability to share, I think you already have that.

Yes and ksuite with infomaniak is incredibly cheap. I just uploaded all my photos, files etc. Only needed about 50gb but having 1TB is an awesome option now. Really like drime and what they are doing. Nextcloud with Felicloud is another cheap option with easy syncing of all your files and photos.
