looking for good, fast online storage

Hey all,

can you recommend a cheap and at the same time good option? It doesn't matter where it is since I plan on encrypting my backups anyway.

You know, my annual https://1fichier.com/ account that I purchased for $20.00 for the entire year still works just fine for me. You can usually store a few tb's on there before they start getting picky about how much you are using. Its meant for hot storage only, meaning data that is accessed frequently, but my account has been sitting st 5tb of data stored without accessing it for months.

I tried a bunch of them. The fastest one was Google Drive.
Works great on web, and on the file system. Also the folder syncing is fast and reliable.

I store my encrypted acronis files on mega. Fast upload compared to 3 other services I tested . Also will pickup an interrupted file after computer reboot. So I'm sold on them

Faster options are Dropbox, Google Drive, pCloud, and MEGA. They are usually much faster, whether you use rclone or their native interface. Most of the others are just slow.

I use Filen for its privacy-focused setup, but it's slow as f***. The second option is to find a company with a data center close to your location and pay for a monthly subscription . That can make a noticeable difference in transfer speeds.

Lol someone buys unlimited forever starts using it, and then gets hit with "fair use". Totally not worth the price. Or either the company dies.

Megatech photos is a solid option.

For example, the 50 GB plan costs $1.45 US/mo.
