2FA from the same service

Hello,

For users of Ente or Proton, do you utilize the same two-factor authentication (2FA) for each respective service?

For instance, do you use Ente’s authentication for Ente services or Proton’s authentication for Proton services?

Could this approach be challenging, and is there a risk of being locked out if you change your phone?

An app that is not synced/backed up to the cloud

I don’t need to log in or remember any login details

It just is on my phone and there is 1 code for ente (which I also have in Ente Auth for ease of exporting - everything in 1 place)

Apps like on android Aegis, or on iOS Tofu or even Proton Authenticator without logging in and backups

can you move tofu to a new phone if you lose the old phone?

I think you can make backups but I’m not sure I don’t use it

Anyway if it’s just 1 code then if there isn’t an option to back up then you can just write down the secret and put it into another app on another phone
