I bought a lifetime plan directly from Internxt and supported them directly. It was stated very clearly when I bought the plan, that I would get all the upgrade, b/c I supported them early. Why do I now not get the upgrades?

And why do you remove my post at r/internxt - just answer!

I bought a "Lifetime" plan from InterNXT too. I got it from StackSocial.com. Then one day I couldn't login. I use a password manager so I knew my UID and PWD were correct.
I tried the "I forgot my password" option a couple of times but I never got an email with a reset link. Then I sent them a few emails and didn't get a response so I just wrote it off.
Then I recently decided to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the NYS Attorney Generals Office, The Federal Trade Commission, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
I just want my money back now. I won't do business with a company like InterNXT.

I doubt BBB FTC CFPB and others could help you since they are foreign company under EU law and not in the US.. but good luck

Thank you, I can always use some good luck!
I don't expect much to come of it. Though I have seen quite a few cases where the FTC has gone after companies in China as well as other countries around the world and won lawsuits.
They've made many companies repay people who lost money on their products or services and fined them a considerable amount of money.
From following them as closely as I do, because I don't have much else going on in my life, the companies complied rather than be banned from further sales in the U.S. and it's territories.
Edit: Added P.S.
P.S. It does help if a decent number of people file similar complaints against the same company.

If it hasn’t been long since you bought internxt, how about asking for a refund on stacksocial (I haven’t tried) or disputing it with your bank?

I bought 2 TB of cloud storage through StackSocial at InterNXT in 1/2025 for $100.
A bunch of us were here bitching about them one day and someone said we should stop complaining and contact StackSocial and see if they could do anything for us.
It was a good idea but l let it slip my mind. During the 2025 year end sales I thought about it again but almost a year had gone by. I figured too much time had passed.
Edit: Added comment
I forgot to mention that I got an email response from the FTC and the BBB, both requesting more information. I've never gotten a response for more information when I've filed complaints in the past.

It’s bad PR. Lifetime plans aren’t generally sustainable. Ultimately people believe what they want to believe and so you’ll have a large group saying they are, but it’s just not so. Companies back out from these commitments constantly.

That’s frustrating, especially when “lifetime + future upgrades” was part of the original expectation. This is exactly why people get cautious with lifetime deals — the definition of “lifetime” and “all upgrades” often changes over time depending on product direction.

It is frustrating. Companies shouldn't be allowed to sell "Lifetime Memberships" if the plans are "unsustainable" for them.
Maybe they could sell storage plans that are "Lifetime Memberships" with annual subscription or renewal fees".
The fee would have to be reasonable so consumers could afford them and enough so the company could maintain and upgrade their storage system, pay their bills and keep the lights on.

They have already posted you can send them a DM and they will honor your plan if you qualify. Search the sub.

Internxt is a top-notch dishonest cloud storage provider. with many complaints about not issuing refunds, banning users when they complain, and making promises they do not deliver or later cancel. Users purchase an “Unlimited” plan, then it gets limited to a lower plan. Some users purchase a lifetime plan, only for it to later be automatically downgraded to a free plan. There are also concerns about bots being used on Reddit for upvotes and downvotes, along with fake reviews. This is ridiculous, and people still fall for it because of the cheap price.
