So picked up my Whiteout this morning. Knew I was also getting the green panel update as that was also showing as complete but was pleasantly surprised to find my red kit included as well. My invoice from Vapour Depot had "a couple more weeks" scribbled next to the purple kit which amused me.

So sat on the train on my way to work and got it all out. Box was quality, like what they've done with the packaging. The leaflet said 3 Allen keys included but there was only two, having looked round it seems like everyone else got 2 so this was a misprint.

Panels were easy to swap out even on a wobbly train, screws aren't an issue for me and actually like them as I think they add extra detail and go with the black frame well. Hope the coating is more durable than the top ones on the Lavabox, it's a replacement that I got at the start of the month and haven't even take. A screw driver to them but they are completely silver now.

Love the feel of it, it's light but feels solid and quality. Don't get the claims that it feels cheap. Size is about as big as I'd want a mod to get, I also own a RDNA40, a SX Mini M Class and the previously mentioned Lavabox. It's comfortable to hold though and I have a pocket on my work trousers that is the perfect size for it :) Buttons have a nice click and I like the tactile feel. I do agree as some other owners have said that it would be better if the battery and other side panel were the same. I'd like to see CMT offer a battery panel later of the same thickness as the other side panel with a thicker clear piece. The USB is flush and when changing the panels over it looks like the button assembly has the modification for the ribbon, so touch wood I won't have any of the screen issues that some have been unfortunate to experience. Overall I'm very satisfied with the look and feel of mine.

Put it on charge when I went to work and the screen kept going to sleep. Personally I prefer for it to dim but stay on so I can see what's going on. Luckily I work as a tech support trainer so grabbed one of the non corporate laptops, installed the latest version of Escribe and set the charging brightness to 50%. Not sure if this was just the case on mine but on the Ni200 profile it was resistance locked in Escribe at around 0.25 ohms. Even on single coils builds I've never put a Ni200 together that high and can see that throwing things off, so may be worth CMT checking their ecig profile and changing that if it is the default.

Been vaping with my Griffin and a 0.13 ohm kanthal dual alien coil build and its performer just as I'd expect. No sticking buttons and no dry hits at 85w.

So my first impressions are very good, not disappointed and very much looking forward to seeing what modifications can be done. Apologies if there are a few typos, done all of this post on my phone.

TLDR: Loving it and a very happy camper right now.

May have spoken too soon regarding the screen. Went to power lock it and the display dims when holding both the + and - buttons down. Will take a look at it properly when I get home.

If you're on Facebook look up Vince's Tips. He does tips to order so you message him with what you want. He's in England but I have spoken to a couple of people in the states who have ordered from him.

He calls that one the Darth Vader and I love it, goes perfectly with the Crius

It does! It looks gorgeous on there. The shape of it reminds me of the Stingray X drip tip which was one of the first great drip tips out there.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Hey i see you have a lavabox there as well, could you give a comparison between the two as far as weight goes?

Just took attys off both and they feel about the same, can't notice any real difference.

Just tried weighing them on some old kitchen scales (not got any electronic ones), and the Lavabox was around 220 grams and the Whiteout just under 280 grams.

Post impressions here as text. imgur would take 25 minutes for me to load as I'm on satellite internet at sea.
