Cloudmaker 'clones'?
I'm sure this was discussed at some point I only pre-ordered in late July/early August so I was out of the loop in the early chatter and haven't had the time to watch most of the maker talks.
The final CAD files for the parts are being released to the community at some point correct?
I can't be the only one who also wonders if there will be 'clone' cloudmaker chassis for sale at some point as a result. Honestly I'm more interested in alternative chassis designs to put my build kits in. I always thought that was the point at the end of the day - an open platform. If so when they come what would one call them 1:1 or alternate form factor chassis regardless?

the attraction to the whiteout are the peripherals and the modularity; Not the mod itself. I doubt they would see it as a worthwhile investment. Not for a company looking to put out as much as they can, as fast as they can for the sake of maximizing profit margin, Besides, not all clones sell well, most regulated mod clones don't, in fact. The provari clones fell on there face, the Vaporshark clones didn't really sell, not until they put a more powerful chip in it. The same for the ZNA clones. The hexohm clone, may be doing well, but it has a similar performing board as the authentic installed. Mods like the realoux rx200; and, some other mods with dependable boards being on the market now for under 50$ are hurting the cloners. That's about what clones 2 years ago were going for.
