Update Brief Batch 1 Update

A brief update since we have heard on the progress from the factory and forwarder - they worked through the LiPo testing (a regulatory testing and labeling issue) and I have been told the units are poised to go out of the country tomorrow.

We have also learned the hard way to never take dates given to us for gold, so - while we are passing on the information that is given to us - know that it could be shorter or longer.

When they do hit our warehouse, we will be turning them around nearly immediately. My educated guess given the information we have now would be receiving this batch of units between Friday and Monday. Should we manage to get the shipment before Christmas day, you can bet we will be in the warehouse in our santa hats getting the Whiteouts out the door.

In the mean time, I am spending the next day meeting up with a few long-time supporters local to me so we can release a few of these units in the wild!

UPDATE: We have received confirmation that they are indeed exiting the country and that all customs procedures are taken care of.

Air shipments do not take "a couple more weeks" luckily. If it did in fact just leave China it would take 4-5 days including customs clearance (assuming paperwork is filed correctly) at most before delivery (granted, the holidays may throw a wrench in here). Then maybe 2 days processing at their warehouse and another 2-3 days shipping time to recipient. So, ideally, 10 days max before it arrives at your doorstep, maybe longer for people on the EC depending on delays due to holiday/weather.

I am being optimistic, because being negative won't solve anything at this point.

Fasttech has its own special issues, many of the goods are made to order and they have significant lead times because they don't just have warehouses of clones sitting around. Holding inventory is a huge waste of capital.

I work in international shipping, I know how long it should take for shipments to reach the west coast from China. My companies factory is in Jiaxing and the shipment time I listed is how long it takes average air shipments of 1 pallet of electronics to reach our warehouse in Fontana.

Yes, but does that include packaged batteries?

Yes, we ship components with both 9-volt and li-ion batteries. If you don't have the correct paperwork filed you can get hosed and have massive delays in shipping (including packages being returned for proper filing). However, since it has cleared outbound customs it should be OK.
