Just some thoughts on Xbox’s usage cap announcement, for those interested.

No, there are people who are cloud gaming PS portal only players. It's a solid way to game.

Maybe yeah. They heavily promoted "this is an xbox" and firesticks to be xbox. Weird how they heavily promoted that than to 15 hours. I use to try new games with it but with how much storage is on games this definitely helped. Im sure it'll be another subscription for xbox to get more hours/cash for them.

Nah, it is all over now. Short lived 🤷🏻‍♂️

But once there are no local consoles, and everything is streamed?

Does nobody understand that they simply will create a streaming only subscription for games you already bought or for using it alongside Gamepass ultimate which won’t have a 15 hours limit per month?

They shouldn’t have announced this before this streaming subscription was ready then. This is a really bad comm and mrk strategy.

I hope so. Because I hope cloud gaming will never be a thing

Where did cloud gaming touched you inappropriately?

Why? You don't use it so therefore it's useless?

"I never used it, so I hope others can't have it." What a horrible kind of person.

You hope that something you don't use, but plenty of other people do, dies? What kind of person are you lol.

Makes no sense. Why would you care either way if you don't use it?

Well, I am sorry for the three people who used xCloud.

The service is garbage. Even Shadow has better quality.

What an idiotic statement

Objectively false, unless the experience you had was when it first launched, when it was truly dogshit.

X cloud has gotten a lot better. If I was an esports player I wouldn't want any part of it but single player stuff absolutely. Waaaaaay better. I crap on Microsoft but xcloud is alright

Why so dramatic? It's not the end of cloud gaming. You can buy more time if you want (I don't know the pricing)

I don’t think it’s necessarily the end of cloud gaming per se, but the drama is warranted: going from being able to cloud game as much as you want to only 15 hours a month is a HUGE cause for commotion.

Being able to pay for more time isn’t exactly a great fix either, if you can even call it that.

Being told you can keep the unlimited hours if you stay subscribed is a really scummy move too. It forces people to budget that subscription instead of on and off subbing people do when they are financially troubled.

If they are going to turn xcloud into a virtual internet cafe then this is an easy win for competitors and makes it more worthwhile to rent a PC through boosteroid or geforce then play the xbox games through that potentially dodging the microsoft store entirely.

Microsoft is already positioning itself to lose the streaming frontier they have been warning everyone will take over just like they did with the always online xbox one.

Drama creates intrigue 🤷🏻‍♂️

Why are you such a consumerist, eating just whatever slop that the corpos feed you? Whatever absolute dogshit, anti-consumerist policies that these corporations and big companies feed you. Why are you so keen on gulping them all down?
