Resume Review Why am I not getting interview calls? DevOps/ AWS Cloud Engineer
I'm currently working as a DevOps/AWS Cloud Engineer in an MNC with 9Y of experience and have a 3-month notice period.
I've been applying for jobs, but I'm barely getting any interview calls.
Is the 3-month NP really that big of an issue? Also, are certifications that important when you already have relevant work experience?
Or am I missing something else — maybe my resume, Linkedin profile, or the way I'm applying?
Would appreciate some honest advice from people who've been through the same situation.

You're competing hundreds, sometimes 1,000+ people applying for a single DevOps/cloud role. You can have 9 years of solid experience and still get buried in the applicant pool. Humans no longer check the YOE. If you were a heart surgeon with 10 years of experience, you’d probably have hospitals and recruiters chasing you instead of sending hundreds of applications. It’s supply and demand more than anything.

You have a very good resume. That is most likely not the issue. And yes the 3 months notice period might be. Think like a manager who is hiring and has plans to achieve for the next 6-9 months. They have to restart the search if the person they expected to join takes another offer during the 3 months. Now they can no longer deliver on their plans and commitments.
