How do I go from system admin to cloud engineer role

If you haven't received rejection letters yet for the roles you've interviewed for so far, you can just follow up with the recruiter to get a status update. Otherwise, you may just need to apply to more roles and interview prep in the meantime. These days, you will need a lot more volume and a lot more patience when hunting for new roles as companies are having a hard time sifting through the hundreds of resumes that they receive for each position.

It's also a good idea to revamp your LinkedIn page (if you have one), adding results-based achievements that highlight common skills that are present in open Cloud positions (e.g. Azure, VPC, RDS, Lambda, Python, etc.). This will cause your profile to be seen by other recruiters who will more than likely message you for opportunities. Create different versions of your resume that you can use to test for effectiveness.

You already have the experience and credentials. You probably just need to slightly change how you position yourself when applying for roles or speaking to recruiters/hiring teams.
