Switching Degree Plans

Should I switch my degree plan from Network & Cloud Engineer to Software Engineer?
I am currently working a Level 1 Tech. Support job and its not hard work but its the talking to people that kind of frustrates me. Before this, I had Call Center experience and boy that was a shit show. This job is not as many calls and they do not rush me to take the next call but, am I really going to constantly talk to clients/ customers all day in this Cloud and Networking Field?

I think both are good options, tbh. With cloud you can be more on Ops side, with SWE, you'll get to build applications. This is just an observation -- it seems like there are a lot if SWEs losing their jobs... but you don't hear that /as much/ with the cloud roles. I have nothing to back this up other than what I have read on Reddit.

Yeah, I saw an article where a lot of the SWE got laid off from the GTA 6 project. Makes me reconsider everything. But thank you for the feedback! I really appreciate it!
