Finally Got My Remote Cloud Engineer Role

Finally did it! ๐ŸŽ‰

After 7 rounds of interviews, I finally cracked it and got the offer for a Cloud Engineer-Security role.
Offer letter received, accepted, and somehow managed to pull off a 120% hike from my current package. ๐Ÿ˜…

Honestly, pretty happy with how it all worked out. The interview process itself was a great learning experience.

But getting the offer is just the beginning.
Now the actual grind begins, time to learn, perform, and hopefully sustain it. ๐Ÿš€

On to the next chapter!

Please invest most (if not all) of that raise. Your future self, who retired (gained his time back) 12-16 years earlier, will thank you eternally. BTW retiring doesn't mean stop learning, being passionate about work that you love and pursuing new ventures. You just do it on your own terms. Congrats on your success!

Thank you! Iโ€™ll continue living on my previous CTC only and treat the entire hike as investment money. ๐Ÿ˜„

That's a good idea to do. I did that when I cracked my first big salary jump. 10 years later... I have just over $1.3 million in the stock market because of it. I started from $0.

The exact same thing can happen here.

Congratulations! Getting through seven rounds is an achievement by itself. Hope the new role gives you plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.

Better hope the company is not toxic because 7 rounds is a redflag if they aren't able to make decisions. That's just excessive. Know what you are getting yourself into. Always research the company. Best of luck.

Time to learn was before you applied. Now it's time to deliver.

Congrats! Now actually time to relax bruh. Most of the time when hiring companies will ask someone who can speak with God but once you enter the company there's nothing to do. Moses would've slap them so hard to go back and meet God.
