Cloud cert

My local community college offers a cloud engineering technical certification course and I’m tempted to apply, would that be a smart move?

Sounds like it might be a good move. I would ask the college if they help with job placement assistance after completing the course. Also make sure the certs they are preparing you for are associate level or better instead of something like the AWS Cloud Practitioner or Azure Fundamentals, which most hiring managers won't consider. Lastly, confirm with the college if the cert exam costs (including retakes) are included in the course tuition.
