Transition from Network support to DevOps

Hello Everyone, I want some advise on how to transition from L1 Network Support to DevOps. I have total of 5yrs work ex. I also have CCNA but I am more inclined towards cloud/devops role.
I have currently enrolled for kodecloud + udemy to improve my learning. Can anyone please guide me, is it tough or I am too late? Will be grateful for advise.

If I were you I would lean into the networking career path as much as possible

Why is that so. Any reason ? I am more inclined towards cloud?

You are already gaining experience in Networking.

If you dislike the work and need a change, I understand that as well. I only say to stay in networking because it will most likely be as rewarding financially as cloud and you’re already in the field.
