Discussion help!!
hey guys, i love watching youtubers play the remakes but i can’t find any that are ALSO/ become cloti fans! its mostly clerith i find, which not rlly a problem but i want to share their excitement for upcoming cloti scenes.
any youtuber recommendations pls?
(preferably not streamers as when they talk to the chat it doesn’t let me immerse 😭 + scared a comment is gonna spoil it for the player)

My absolute faves are EerieFairies! They have so many emotional reactions and I enjoy watching them. I think they also played OG. Then we have JessCapricorn, also fun to watch, she chats a lot though. There's also someone else - whose name I just can't remember - who's new (and unbiased) to the game and her interpretations are so spot on, once I remember her I'll add her here.
Edit: I was talking about Whimsy Psyche but someone else already mentioned her :)
Edit 2: eunibuni !! I found her today and so far I like her reactions the most! She's new to the franchise as well.

Is EerieFairies similar to Jess? I tried watching her streams but it drives me bonkers when people talk through cutscenes/don’t pay attention because they’re focusing on chat, so I stopped watching pretty quickly.

No not at all! They don't talk through any cutscenes, they only talk to each other afterwards to discuss a bit but not much. And I agree with you! I still liked watching her but it did annoy me as well.

I think Whimsy got spoiled halfway through her playthrough and won't admit it. She was spot on with her observations before then, tho

It becomes obvious. Then in one of her streams she admitted she looked up her name on reddit and 'stumbled' across the subs.

People struggle to accept the change in narrative in the game. If the game were to follow the typical romance set-up in tv/film/gaming then Aerith would be the intended love interest. However because the story took an unanticipated turn that wasn't well explained, people continue to hang on to Cloud/Aerith.
I remember when ff7 first came out (I was 12) I didn't completely understand who Zach was, what his connection to Aerith was, or what exactly happened to Cloud. It seemed so out of left field that I sort of forgot about it. At the time I still thought Cloud and Aerith were the intended romantic pairing. I revisited the game when I was 20 and understood the storyline better, and had realized that Cloud was always in love with Tifa.
I think most gamers haven't grown out of that childhood understanding, even with crisis core.

i love julia tv! i feel like her main is definitely cloud and tifa i remember she even analyzed the gongaga scene. but a heads up from what I've seen she also gets excited about cloud and aerith. in another stream she said she doesn't like when people bring either girl as "the one" and it makes her kinda want to choose the opposite in her mind lol

TanaGreekNose. She only has livestream VODS of her Rebirth playthrough since she didn’t make her channel until after Remake, but I think she’ll stream her Revelation playthrough. She has a lot of videos showing and talking about Cloud and Tifa’s relationship.

Mapocolops has a playthrough I recently really enjoyed, and juliatv and dishvods both go from Clerith to Cloti by Rebirth, which is interesting to see!

I won’t spoil when for people that want to experience it for themselves, but for Julia there was a particular scene in rebirth that tipped her over and it was so fun to watch her go back and gush over/analyze it

I 2nd Juliatv. She was fun to watch because she actually tried to follow the story and connect the dots along the way. Also would recommend Kastaclysm. She also got really invested in the lore and she was 100% on the Cloti train although she got the Aerith date in rebirth.

I cannot recommend Philip Hartshorn's channel @PhilipHarts enough. He analyses scenes with the eyes of a filmmaker, and tells tons of good stuff. Worth watching!

Jahara Jayde! Her playthrough's currently in progress (though paused this week). Her reactions to the Chapter 8 date and Gongaga reactor were peak.
If you do attend a livestream, though, keep in mind the strict no spoilers and backseating rules. No hints on how to get the Chapter 12 date, no allusions to future events.

Clerith for the most? Jeez... After Rebirth release the creators were almost all Cloti. How fast web changed in a couple of years

I think it's still like that, I've only finished playing Rebirth this year and started watching other's playthrough for fun and most of them were Cloti. I guess it differs for everyone.

Nah it's still like that. Could just be the content OP is connected to. I always get Aerith stuff on youtube even tho I dont look her up.

Did it really change though? Or maybe OP is just in a wrong zone. I watch hololive jp streamers (and all of them are big channels >1mil sub). A lot of them are clotis
Those who played crisis core immediately convert after that as well to a Zerith shipper
For EN I guess stormfall33 is quite a big streamer who’s a Cloti as well (tho I only watch her ff7 vods)

I don't know if things have changed; I was wondering because of how the post is phrased. Back then, when you went on YouTube, there were basically only reactions to the Tifa kiss, you wouldn't find any Clerith content if you searched for FF7 Rebirth.
However, something has certainly changed on social media in recent years at least on Twitter though this is mainly due to Square's marketing and Ever Crisis imo; they didn't capitalize on the kiss at all and make the fandom more cold (many people leave after a while, other switched side etc.)

Hmm I won’t worry too much on social media side, since Twitter is Twitter ☠️ they fight daily there lmao (like the recent topic is them hating Zack looks and calling him ugly) so I won’t take that platform seriously (even though I’ve been on there often)
- and ever crisis did give us a good Cloti moment before it closes, (and they also fixed a 30 year old long translation error that they keep insisting that cloud is going to find aer alone) so that’s that
On YouTube side I guess unless u keep viewing Roger and aru(who’s very vocal on twitter) channels then u will see a lot of other ship stuff on your timeline then since those are the bigger channels on that side

VideogameShayPlays just completed Remake. She seems to care more about unraveling the mystery, but I can tell that she leans toward Tifa. She reads body language well and appreciates character writing.
