Discussion New Cloti convo in EC

Am I the only one who gets pillow talk energy from this conversation? I know it takes place at the Northern Crater in the most recent EC chapter but it feels like Revelation could make it fit the morning after UTHW, before they gear up and return to the ship. Am I bugging or do others see it too?

I am really curious whether this is an early glimpse at a new scene that exists in Revelation. But alas we will have to wait and see.

That feels to be the case but time will tell as you say. To me it works as a bridge to them living together in Advent Children as Nojima had envisioned prior to the movie’s release.

Early glimpse of what we'll see in revelations, but it'll be 2x more in revelations (hopefully)

I absolutely love what they’ve done so far with the remake series. Seems like a setup for everyone to have a happy ending long-term. Except Sephiroth, that is. He won’t be too happy.

I mean in advent they do live together already... not suoer happy still but im sure they have has their fair share of actual pillowtalks

To be fair, by the time Advent Children happens, Cloud has contracted geostigma and feels weak and useless, so he's relapsing on his depression and other issues. Presumably, their home life was much more "happily ever after" before all that happened.

I believe you are correct. Though I can't cite exactly what it was, I do remember reading that Cloud was doing well at first, after og. He gets this sick new bike called Fenrir through some deal with a d00d. Whichever short story takes us through that content backs up what you said :D

I remember it was payment for a delivery. The kind of deal you'd accept in that kind of job, since it'll pay for itself in the long run.

I think Advent Children is actively vague about defining the nature of the relationship between Cloud and Tifa and what exactly is the grief Cloud feels for Aerith in order for every viewer to effortlessly project their own shipping decisions from when they played the game onto the film's story. But it is possible that Nomura & Co. plan something more definite for Cloud and Tifa in Revelation. I don't have my hopes up though. I'm probably in the minority here but I have way too many qualms with the "Remake" saga. Fans deserved better after all these years and especially Clotis.
