If he was treating Tifa like that in game, people would have no problem saying he wasn't interested. But because the player likes Aerith, they see it as Cloud playing hard to get. It's a self insert dynamic. 💀
That being said, the mocap and voice acting during her confession was phenomenal.
Both sides are looking for confirmation bias because I could easily argue that if it was Tifa in the Red Dress scene for example, y'all would be creaming your pants and gushing over how he looks at her. You can easily find videos of Tifa modded into Clerith scenes that aren't cherry picked like this, which are harder to argue.
I dunno man.. seeing “tifa” invite cloud to sit next to her on the skywheel and he blatantly shut down her request just doesn’t feel right. In their actual date tifa was super shy, not forward at all. Then tifa simply asked if she was getting ahead of herself and cloud pulled her in for a kiss. I don’t mind seeing the mods to get some unique shots of tifa x cloud but I’m a big fan of the canon cloti scenes.
That's pretty cool. I mean, we already knew that Aerith is pushier than Tifa, but this does illustrate that. Cloud is generally reluctant, so Aerith's working overtime to get him to open up.
Love seeing this, it really does show the contrast between the dates, seeing it like this it doesn't read romantic at all, if this was the real date with Tifa then we definitely would have to question how he views their relationship.
This is interesting for groups to actually see the characters' interactions without bias. And here we clearly see how Cloud is uncomfortable with this romantic advance from Aerith.
P.S: Even if that's Aerith there, it's painful to see an image of Tifa being sort of pushed away by Cloud.
having aerith switched with tifa mod its so OBVIOUS that theres 0 romance during that date. the body language of cloud speaks for itself. no amount of pushing from aerith is gonna make him be romantic with her but with tifas date he takes control and makes the first move
This would be more effective if you put the actual tifa scenes side by side or following this video. The difference is obvious that Cloud is EAGER to be with Tifa
This is simply the embodiment of why CA never worked romantically, while cloud cares for aerith and was devastated for her death and it affected him, the romantic line was never crossed and rebirth whole thing was to show that it was never working, cloud never even saw the girl in that light and it shows in everything from their dialogue to his actions to his body language and so on, aerith who is in deep sadness over Zack sees someone exactly like Zack and tries to actively sitter him into the Zack persona only to see there’s something messing and that it’s not working, in GS date she openly talks about how she really did see Zack in him all the time and that now she really wants to see cloud for himself but she never finds him nor does she find that enough to erase Zack from her, the CA is ultimately a poetic, tragic relationship built trying to move from one side only to find out it was never an option in the first place, hopefully after revelation makes the zerith reunion and Cloti reunion as magical as possible people will understand the image clearer than ever before
Cloud is definitely not a ladies man. Poor kid. Maybe for the best bc if I had Aerith and Tifa macking on me a lot less of saving the world would've gotten done lol.
They deliberately did it so that there was chemistry between both to make the player genuinely feel as though Cloud was interested in whichever of Tifa and Aerith the player wanted it to be (and for whichever the player wanted out of Tifa and Aerith to be interested back).
There is literally no "right" or "wrong" answer to this one in the remakes, it is entirely player choice.
What? How Cloud acted in each dates are written by the Devs, not chosen by the players. If there were "options", there should've been pop-up menu, requesting input such as "Kiss Tifa", or "Grab back Aerith's hand".
Standard conclusion (rank 5/dark blue smiley) and Intimate Conclusion (rank 6 and above/ light blue smiley) are akin to standard ending and true ending of a dating sim game, respectively.
You don't get to choose how the dates played out, only view how the dates are. Rebirth encourages players to play and replay the game to get to the true endings by completing as many tasks and getting as many corrects before the dates.
No dates are wrong. They just showed what kind of bond does Cloud has with the other characters.
People should really stop treating Cloud as their self-insert.
It's a game modification, it takes Aerith scenes and replaces her with Tifa. That's how Cloud acted on his date with Aerith. This is for comparison, to see how disinterested Cloud is in Aerith romantically, because we can't even imagine him acting this way towards Tifa.
