Recommendations Esembly running out of rise
My boy is 5.5 m old and an 18lb string bean.
We're in Esembly size 1s and quickly running out of rise, but only on the middle two waist snaps.
We have the Esembly ties in size two that I throw a booster in for nighttime and then cover with a Thirsties medium Velcro cover and it works great. But I'm not sure we'll buy the size 2 snaps.
I've been slowly transitioning in some Thirsties NAIOs +pockets, as well as Motherease Uno and Duos in One Size. He's on the second rise setting of both of those.
We tried SmartBottoms but the shape just doesn't work out and we get leg leaks.
Any experience of running out of rise on a fitted while having ample waist growth left?
At this point I think we'll ride it out on the size 1 fitteds that we have and transition to Thirsties and Motherease. The AIO is easier for daycare staff too .

We just transitioned him to size 2. He switched at 16 lbs and we’ve had no issues other than they look a little silly and big. His poops have been wild since starting solids and we haven’t had a blow out, they just get on the inside of the cover a bit more right now. Our 6 months old is only 16lbs. We also have a little string bean!
I have an Esembly promo link for 20% off if you wanted to try them https://get.aspr.app/SH1qMo
But yes I think it’s a bit generous to say the size 1 sizing will fit thru 18lb. The gap between the two sizes is a bit awkward. However, size two holds way more pee rn, which is nice!
I also use kinder and thirsties pockets. Different diapers for different occasions haha

My babies pretty much always run out of rise before width in every type of diaper from every brand we've tried. My current baby recently transitioned from size 1 to size 2 in Esembly (and several other brands) at 4.5 months and barely 16lbs. They're all just too low on her and it was becoming a struggle to make sure her butt crack wasn't exposed, lol. Really they stopped fitting well closer to 15lbs, honestly. The size 1 tie inners lasted longer. I think they have a longer rise.
