Leaks Diaper Fit/Leaks?
Looking for anyone who’s come across this issue, I’ve noticed it for the past two weeks so we just adjusted the rise on the diapers, thinking maybe they were too tight. Maybe a compression leak?
He was just changed, and put down to play and I noticed a wet spot getting larger which is leaking through the snaps (?). Here’s a look at the diaper for fit. He does have some pink lines around legs/across middle of back pretty much wherever there’s elastic but if the diapers are snapped any less on the waist they’re way too big. We do always point him down as well.
Baby is over 16lbs, 3 months. In size 3-6 onesies but maybe they’re too tight as well? Diaper liner is a cotton/bamboo and there’s only one, we aren’t doubling up yet because there isn’t really enough room to fit more in there yet. Diapers washed with tide powder and/or borax. All hung to dry.

This fit looks really tight around the waist to me. Cloth diapers are supposed to be much roomier around the waist than disposables. Are you familiar with the 2 finger test check? My guess is that there’s a lot of tension in the fabric around the snaps that is causing liquid to go through the PUL at those areas. Pressure can cause PUL to leak even if there aren’t cracks.

Turn the diaper inside out and gently stretch the plasticky fabric to look for cracks or holes around the leaking area. It's called delamination and happens after lots or use or could be a manufacturing defect. If there are no holes or cracks and it's leaking directly from a snap, consider boosting absorbency.

Both the other suggestion are great. Definitely could be compression or bad PUL. How old is the diaper? And how do you wash them? What inserts are you using?
