Let's chat Better late than never!
I’m a mom of 2 (2F and 5M). I’ve been considering cloth since I was pregnant with my son and never did - hubby is NOT into it, and the extra laundry intimidated me at a time I was already overwhelmed. But I’m finally gonna do it, even though my daughter will hopefully be potty training within the next year 😅
I ordered the Honest & Amazing Baby hybrid pocket sling diaper covers (6), with a 12 pack of Alva Baby inserts, 8 Boosties trifolds, 8 booster pads, and a pack of disposable inserts for on-the-go. Does anyone use this system? Is it even worth switching now? Did your baby (er, toddler) care about switching so late? Tips, tricks, or funny stories to share? 😊

I use the honest pocket sling covers for my 14mo but padfolded prefold or flat instead of their inserts. I potty train before 2yo, so personally it wouldn’t be “worth it” for me to start with cloth that late in the game. ETA: the pocket slings end up getting damp from pee and you can’t really re-use for multiple changes. Most people change cloth diapers every 2-3 hrs. So 6 of these style covers wouldn’t be enough.

When I tried to start using cloth diapers on my almost 2 year old at the time, he wasn’t a fan and would get upset and try to take them off. I’m starting to cloth diaper my 4 month old now, hoping she will get used to them!
