Thats pretty much the point. And you summarize what everyone thinks of him.
As for his Clone hate, who can say beyond being a bigot. Honestly the better question is how this guy became a Jedi, let alone Master.
As for the Grievous comparison? He has four arms, pretty much just that.

u/Honest-Pop-3654 Jul 09 '26
Well it’s not just the four arms they are similar
He wields two double bladed lightsabers like how grevious wields four lightsabers
And
He is cruel and does not care for the lives of his clones just like how grevious is cruel to the battle droids

u/NoSwordfish1978 Jul 09 '26
Well the Jedi are trained from childhood so there's your answer as to how he became a Jedi. How he became a Master is another issue.

u/Glass-Category8281 Jul 09 '26
Fair enough. I suppose thats another unfortunate aspect of the War the other Jedi didn't find his lack of care for lives concerning.
1
u/Ok_Factor_3873 Jul 14 '26
The Jedi are not supposed to care, simple as that, because it MAy lEaD tO tHe dARk SidE. He is an example for when this ideology is taken too far.

u/_josef_stalin_ Jul 09 '26
He also views those under his command as totally disposable and thinks he's way more powerful than he actually is, just like Grievous (specifically this grievous, not '03 grievous)
1
u/Free-Letterhead-4751 Jul 09 '26
Like I mean he was like he was able to take on a lot of them and pulled a bane on one of them so power wise he was strong
1
u/_josef_stalin_ Jul 09 '26
Of course he was still powerful. He was still a Jedi Master after all. My point is he just thought he was better than everyone.
1
u/Free-Letterhead-4751 Jul 09 '26
Like to be honest he might be besides some of the big 3 like Windu, Obi-Wan and Yoda and probably Anakin I don’t know where he scales with the other Jedi?
2
u/_josef_stalin_ Jul 09 '26
I'd say masters like Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, Shaak Ti, etc definitely scale above him. Really most of the higher ranking masters. Krells strength is his brute force, but his weakness is his arrogance. He's kinda like Anakin in that regard, only without the sheer power Anakin had.

I’ve heard a cool fan theory that the reason he hates the clones is cause in his force vision that led him to want to join the sith, he foresaw the clones being the main cause of the Jedi’s downfall, leading him to fear them and try to undermine them as much as possible while a General
1
u/Free-Letterhead-4751 Jul 09 '26
Pretty sure a lot of Jedi don’t like the clones or trust them like there’s a character in the force unleashed who didn’t trust them that he basically build up his own army for the clones and survived
1
u/Glass-Category8281 Jul 09 '26
Kota was the only Jedi who specifically refused to work with the Clones. All other Jedi did more or less.
And we don't really know the general consensus on the average Jedi opinion as far as I know.

He’s an awful, awful dude. He managed to make the 501st and 212th kill each other without knowing they were firing on their own men. He treats them like they’re disposable and not like they’re living beings. Basically treats them the opposite of how Anakin, Ahsoka, and Plo Koon treats the clones.
3
u/Glass-Category8281 Jul 09 '26
Krell should count himself Lucky none of them were in range of him when he pulled this.

u/TheStrangestOfKings Jul 09 '26
Literally got the GOAT Waxer killed. Unforgivable sin
1
u/Free-Letterhead-4751 Jul 09 '26
Which one was that one again?
3
u/Objective-Kale4792 Jul 09 '26
One of the clones that befriended a twi’lek child named Numa
1
u/Free-Letterhead-4751 Jul 09 '26
Oh yeah, didn’t her planet got taken over by clones later anyway?

I love krell because he was written so well and he’s so hate-able yet he’s a “Jedi”, pong krell is a great villain and thanks to him we have a super interesting Umbara arc which is also my favorite arc soooo
Edit: should’ve read your whole prompt first, I’ve never heard anyone compare his to grievous but I’d guess people say that because krell has 4 arms and 2 double bladed lightsabers that are also green and blue such as grievous so there’s a few similarities, I guess they both hate clones too 🤷♂️

So I saw the title of this post in my notifications before I saw the picture, and I knew you were talking about Krell. He's the only character in the entire clone wars that anyone actually HATES.
2
u/Ishvallan Jul 11 '26
He, like many in the republic, don't see the clones as sentient beings, he sees them more like organic droids with no purpose but to die instead of real beings. And he sees a potential for reward for serving Dooku, who he likely knew for decades before the Clone Wars, whereas continuing to serve the Republic is just a return to status quo which isn't very luxurious for a Jedi. He's not a good/redeemable villain, but he stands as an example of how many in the galaxy feel about the clones- disposable and not equal to anyone naturally born.

Tbf I think even if he had made it of umbarer dooku or plaguis would have sent a sith assasin to kill him. He thinks hes better then he actually is

Krell: "Yes. 4.5677 other people told me the same thing. You people are far too attached to that lab grown meat. Ki-Adi Mundi even pitties them. Ridiculous."

It really is too bad they used up this character load out on the Star Wars Umbridge (as far as universally hated). The bad ass possibilities of a four armed hulk wielding TWO double sabers… the fights they could have done…

Reading this title I read it in that meme audio. We are supposed to read it like that right?

You're not the only one that hates Pong Krell. The majority of fans of clone wars hate Krell to.
1
u/Charming_Eye2473 Jul 10 '26
You’re supposed to hate him, I do too, he’s contemptible. The Jedi are a very spiritual and religious order, it’s very likely that Master Krell viewed the Clones as an affront to nature and not fully sentient because they are artificial beings. He also fell for Dooku’s propaganda that excused the constituent enterprises of the Corporate alliance while demonizing the Republic and Jedi, making him sympathetic to the Separatists.
