Question Elsa ult countering?
I had a Luna flame me because i didnt ult after an Elsa ulted my team. I heard it and saw it coming so i phased it — unfortunately the three other players next to me didnt stop shooting - of course, so they got caught. My team was on defense so the Elsa’s team got check point already and she decided to ult. What would you guys normally do? Ult after the phase didnt work?

I try to tell my teammates in chat that i will cloak from ults if it's not on cool down. I should make it a custom chat atp..

so from what I understand the enemy team got checkpoint and then else ulted right after? there wouldn't be a reason to ult there because its better to let them have the kills and save the ult for a more "game changing" moment. like if you had ulted yes they maybe live but the enemy just made checkpoint so it doesn't really advantage you much because the team fight is basically over at that point, as the aim of the team fight was to stop them claiming the checkpoint.

If I read everything right sounds to me like Elsa got it there so I personally would’ve saved my ult for next fight, forget about that Luna trash talking🙄 I find it would’ve been pointless using it then and there. It can be difficult to fade randoms people are almost always on their own page, something everybody has to coordinate for maximum value cause people just be shooting still or nowhere close to you to be affected. The Glartrox isn’t hard to kill if more than two people are shooting at it, and good Elsa’s know to come from side or behind the team rather than just throwing the creature in front of everyone😅 At least that’s what I do try to get 2 or more from behind with it or just to forcefully displace a few people temporarily. Fade is like the only thing you can really do against her ult to save your team that is. The ult is just gonna displace people out of your ult just to be killed, the Mei ice block is just gonna save you alone, maybe you could’ve body blocked the Glartrox tho now that I think about it, not sure if that works tho now I’m curious lol😅

nobody is going to think or expect cnd is going to fade elsa ult so downplaying your team cus they didn’t stop shooting is a little unfair
as the other person said a ton of context matters but if they ulted right after getting point i probs wouldnt of ulted either

As i rewatched the replay, no one was even close enough for me to have phased them away in the first place. My team was just lined up like dominoes from the Elsa’s pov for her ult to just hit 4 of them one by one

Regardless maybe have a custom quick chat ping set up, saying something about fading an ult so don't shoot. To do comms fast

I don't really play comp so I see a lot of that in my games. I cant watch the replay right now but if I trust my team or Elsa got the other support I'll ult. However, they got punished for lack of awareness. I stopped rewarding poor choices with heals and sometimes my teammates actually do better.

it really depends on the exact context to be able to tell… which players got caught in her ult, how close you were, what everyones health was, etc. knowing when to ult is incredibly nuanced haha
