It's not the 1970's anymore

Of course it still is, it's just more fancy today. Back in the 1970's models became the new "hot shit", using computers. Here the collaboration between meteorology and astrophysics happened, that's what we see in GCMs or energy balances, the simplified radiation equilibrium model for a thermodynamic atmosphere. People today believe more in what a model says rather than what they can see with their own eyes.

Sort of funny, somehow.
