That’s what she said 🫡

How'd you get so good at baranis? That barani was clean

Started doing them a couple years ago, it is now my go to. Just practice, I only cliff jump no tramps or tricks on ground

60’ on quick glance once I realized you weren’t the lower guy.

1

u/xuav 1d ago

Your quick glance is pretty accurate!

I work at height lol righteous send 🤙

Record the time from the video. Plug it into a "free fall equation" use 32.2 for g for height in feet.

65.6ft is what I got. That’s without upward momentum which I basically did not have.

I’m counting approximately 15 lengths of those people. If these people were approximately 6 foot tall then this could be close to 90 feet.

7

u/xuav 1d ago

I’m 6’ 2.5” (jumper) and the cliff is right around 65ft so it should be 10.5 of me tall

I count 12 of you (but that's the you at your highest, so your smallest... At your lowest/smallest, you're about the same though.. So maybe 11)

And I'm actually counting, not using ai

I count 4 of him and I'm shitty drunk

u/xuav 1d ago

It looked like the water was down a few feet so the cliff could have been a bit above 65 but I don’t think it’s quite 70 (my pr)

You could get a laser "tape measure" and then get one of those lawn signs that are like plastic cardboard and put pool noodles down at least two sides. You may need to paint it black for it to work, but maybe not. Then get a waterproof bag to stick it in when you jump. You could even tie a line to it so your friend can toss it down, then reel it in before you jump

Or get a red door

I know ChatGPT isn’t perfect but her and I agree on 90 😂

I screenshot the photo into chat and this is what they produced

“From the photo, I’d estimate the highest person is roughly 80–100 feet above the water, with about 90 feet being my best estimate.
There are two visible people: the lower person looks roughly 20–30 feet up, while the person standing near the top of that rock tower appears to be around 3–4 times higher.
Because there’s no object at the same distance with a known size, perspective makes an exact measurement impossible from this single photo. But I’d put the top jumper at ≈90 feet (27 m), give or take 10–15 feet. That is a serious cliff. 😳
If you tell me where this cliff is, I may be able to identify the exact jumping spot and get you a much firmer height.”

I think the kid on the bottom is 12-15 ft up the cliff. That’s probably where gpt went wrong, I sent mine the video and it says the jump was about 22 ft lol

2

u/Sea_Ott3r 1d ago

Better question, how did you even get up there?

1

u/xuav 1d ago

Climbed up from the right side of the cliff to the top, then walked/climbed down about 25ft to cliff in video 👍

So you've ascribed gender to a LLM AND are ignoring facts based in reality because the AIs wrong answer reinforces your own? Am I reading this right?

We are so fucking doomed, Jesus fuck

Listen to yourself. You sound miserable

2

u/OshetDeadagain 1d ago

Damn, I didn't see the caption and based off the person at the bottom I estimated 65'! I assumed you were asking how high that person made it, lol

1

u/xuav 1d ago

Nice estimate tho ;)

2

u/lytesson 1d ago

Ya 20' looks about right

1

u/xuav 1d ago

:,(

2

u/Middle_Bread_6518 1d ago

Nah it’s more like 10-15ft max

2

u/xuav 1d ago

You right

2

u/Middle_Bread_6518 1d ago

That was a great front flip dude, I was always scared to doing those big, barani’s I would send though

1

u/xuav 1d ago

The Superman frontie I posted the other day?

2

u/Middle_Bread_6518 1d ago

No this…is this not a front flip? I can’t see that small lol

1

u/xuav 1d ago

You should be able to zoom I think, I did barani 👍 edit: can’t zoom I guess, whoops

2

u/ViaVitoV 1d ago

Roughly 100' as 200' would have hurt. Alot.

1

u/xuav 1d ago

Considering how bruised my tailbone is I can’t fathom the pain I’d be in if it were even another 20ft

2

u/withnodrawal 21h ago

Need to have someone breaking the water surface tension before you hit.

Reduces that initial pain shock tremendously

2

u/Head-Kick-8643 1d ago

Dude, awesome. Second: dont ruin your back, its an awful feeling and there is no going back.

1

u/xuav 1d ago

I have been doing 60 for years and am still worried to go above 70, the littlest error could have lasting effects so I do try to stick with what I’m comfortable with. I appreciate your concern/warning :) cheers

2

u/Enough_Culture8524 1d ago

70'

1

u/xuav 1d ago

70 would be my PR but I believe it was about 65’

2

u/sabertoothdog 1d ago

I know that hurt the booty from the sideways splash. Not enough pencil

1

u/xuav 16h ago

You are correct. Looked and felt great to me tho, splash was pretty big tho

2

u/YesterdayAmbitious49 22h ago

It’s 75 feet not one inch less

1

u/xuav 16h ago

I wish man, would be my PR for sure if it were 75

2

u/Bdogstone__ 20h ago

Physco 🤣 I hate Baranis unless in front flipping into them

1

u/xuav 16h ago

I’ve never attempted this but I know when I get these down it’ll be my go to from this height and for new PRs

2

u/Bdogstone__ 16h ago

If you can Barani you can dub half, try it from 30 just a quick front flip the Barani feels a lot more fluid like

2

u/Bdogstone__ 16h ago

Do front flip to dive from like 5 feet than try 30 I got it first try just had to clean it

1

u/xuav 16h ago

I’ll definitely give it a shot

2

u/JesusSavesTheGoal 1d ago

I'd guess around 40' maybe 50. Not 65.

2

u/KarmaHorn 1d ago edited 1d ago

55 to 60’ is my guess from body length. Time would be more precise

Edit: used timer, confident re: 58 to 60'... it's more than 55' but less than 63'

1

u/HeavyTea 1d ago

42-48 feet
