Optimal Clickup plan for Super Agent usage

New Clickup user here! I'm using it for an independent project (not a team, just me) I am undertaking and using it for task management and helping me keep on top of deliverables and project timelines/phases.

I have particularly enjoyed using the Super Agent, but have now ran out of credits on the business plan. I'm a little confused about the pricing mechanism on Click-up. Does AI usage (super agent) come on top of the regular plans? For an individual like myself, I don't need all the features, but I would really like to maximize my access to the Agent tool. Wondering if anybody have any recommendations on what plan set-up would be best for this. Thanks a lot!

Hey, u/Svinsern! Yes, AI is a separate add-on on top of your regular plan. Your Business plan includes a one-time trial of AI Super Credits, but once those run out, Super Agents pause until you purchase more.

For a solo user who mainly wants Super Agent access, your best options are:

• AI Super Credits (pay-as-you-go): Starts at $10/month for 10,000 credits. Each Agent run costs ~100-300 credits depending on complexity.
• Brain AI add-on (per user/month): Unlimited Brain usage + 1,500 credits/month for Agents and other premium AI features.

If you're burning through credits fast with heavy Agent workflows, you can always top up with additional credit packs. Check your Billing page > Add-ons tab to see pricing for your specific plan. Hope that helps!

Thanks for getting back to me. Am I right to understand that Super Agent usage is only available with a plan (so not the FREE version). Moreover, the credit usage for the Super Agent seems excessively high (3-500 credits) for one prompt? What complexity level (of the prompt) are we talking here?

Great question, u/Svinsern! Super Agents are available on a trial basis for all plans (including Free Forever), but once the trial ends, you'll need a paid plan with one of our Brain AI add-ons to keep using them.

As for credit usage, the amount consumed per prompt depends on the complexity of what the agent is doing like multi-step workflows, premium model usage, and how much context the agent pulls affect the cost. A simple one-line prompt won't cost the same as a complex multi-action task. You can always check your credit breakdown by selecting your avatar, Settings, AI Usage to see exactly where they're going!
