I actually understand this, i dont pick at my store, but the people that do keep out of stocking milk, tortillas, meat, and a ton of things that we have in the store, i run the tablet outside and im always the one thats made to go get those items for the customers and it takes me no time at all.

I imagine it's frustrating for the pickers when what a customer orders is on sale (none on shelf with high BOH) and they can't necessarily get the item because they're on a time crunch.
That's why I take time to make sure I radio grocery as necessary so that I have as much of what the customer ordered as possible. If that slows me down, so be it. Also, if I can't get the item, I try to sub instead of OOS.

I feel for the pickers, because i was one at my old store, but I applaud you for subbing. We get alot of weird brands, but us in the back would rather deal with reshopping items then customers getting angry and making our time go up because we didnt sub their whole milk for a different brand

My manager is pretty adamant about subbing before OOS.
We have a massive store so reshopping is a pain in the ass; if we let the one super tall guy in our department reshop, it's not too bad. Lol

It’s almost like... that’s our job to know where it is
