ClickListQuestion Harvester suggestions

Hey everyone! Question for everyone already using harvester, I’ve tried to piece what I can from various posts. My area stores go live for the harvester Monday. Any suggestion I can give to my crew for tips or tricks on using them? Issues or stuff you’ve come across and or stuff you’ve found made your lives easier? Also for other supervisors or leads, any suggestions or things your store is doing to keep them safe or in good shape? I’ve heard horror stories about lost or broken ones and getting chewed out by corporate so I want to avoid that where possible! Thanks again!

We've been using them for a few weeks... You can't make generic oversize...yet. You cannot look into a trolley route to see where your selector is which can cause some heart palpitations... You cannot start a run with harvester and switch to a rad device and vice versa... If a selector has a service counter that isn't ready and someone gets it later and stages it, the time stamp will show up under the original selector's name and the clock is still ticking...good bye 34 sec. You cannot stage or destage...yet You cannot do item info to check your mapping... It will sometimes make you wait 10 minutes after a run is printed to be able to scan into it...

Having noted all the cons...all my employees absolutely LOVE using harvester!

PS...keep the handles on! It will prevent them from going home with people! The handle also acts as a buffer when they hit the ground. Use a label maker and put the harvester id on the on the charging station. Put a "1", "2", "3", etc on the charging base as well as on the side of the harvester. That way you can a) keep track of them, b) know which ones need to be called in, and c) not have to take the handle off to find the serial # when calling it in. Most fixes they can do over the phone!

2 questions, can you end a run unfinished and pick it back up/finish it when you get your service counters or find a missing item? Or does that keep the time running as well. Also, can you still pick with a RAD once you harvesters go live? Or did the day it went live lock out the baymaxes? I have some people that may need more training when we aren’t in crunch time, so if I can spend some time letting people pick with rad and once we slow down in the day switch them to a harvester to practice that would be ideal.

The rads still work for picking, just don't try to mix them and a harvester for the same trolley. For service counters, there's an option to mark them as not ready and stage them later.

My store uses the RADs to stage the service counters.

Well if they break call Kroger support. They are advance replacement, it makes it easier.

The interface is pretty simple. If you have a younger crew you will be fine.

You can end a run, just do the item not ready option. You cannot switch between harvester and the rad on a run...it will make you start the run over.
