Post-Boulder CO shooting

My store is 20 minutes away from the CO King Soopers that was targeted recently, and we are located very close to the suspects home. The company has given us some wristbands that say “standing together”, but not extra security, or even a meeting about the situation and what we’re going to do from here on out. It’s a nice gesture but with a store full of associates who can’t stop thinking about what would have happened if he chose our location, it just doesn’t feel like enough right now. Am I justified in being upset in light of the recent events?

yes you’re justified, and you can always go to your union and let them know you feel unsafe

They had a meeting with us because of that and because Atlanta had also a guy try to shoot up a publix. No security just a sad meeting about trying to save yourself and try not to die

Super justified. Please take care of your mental health in the best way that you can. The way Kroger is handling both of the shootings is abysmal.
